Overview
St. Luke's Health System in the Treasure Valley (Boise, Meridian, Nampa) or Twin Falls is seeking a Quality Program Specialist RN, Patient Blood Management Coordinator to join our Quality Center of Excellence Performance Improvement team!
This position will work collaboratively with providers, nurses, and blood bankers, and in partnership with the other PBM Specialist RN, this individual will be responsible for coordinating blood program initiatives, along with collecting, reviewing, and reporting outcomes and processes relevant to patient blood management. This role will also lead teams in blood program activities and collaborate with medical staff, employees, leaders, and teams to deliver on blood program objectives.

Responsibilities
- Possesses and applies competent/solid working knowledge of subject matter in quality discipline; assists in decision-making; participates in delivering on program objectives.
- Coordinates quality program initiatives and leads teams in program activities using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Coordinates collection, review, and reporting of outcomes and processes relevant to the specific quality program.
- Assists staff and leaders in measuring and analyzing performance within the scope of the specific quality program, identifying improvement opportunities, and establishing measurable performance goals.
- Collaborates with medical staff, employees, leaders, and teams to deliver on program objectives.
- Solves moderately complex issues and problems within the scope of the specific quality program. Escalates more complex issues to department leadership or collaborates with peers.
- As a subject matter point-of-contact, provides evidence-based and regulation-compliant consultation and advice as appropriate to employees, teams, leaders, and medical staff within the scope of the specific quality program.
- Is actively involved in improvement efforts that impact the specific quality program, particularly those that support system strategic initiatives.
- Participates in professional development opportunities to enhance subject matter expertise in area of focus and other relevant areas/disciplines.
- Participates in the evaluation and prioritization of projects, develops and executes action plans, and accepts assignments based on organization and department need.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Experience: 2 years's additional relevant experience.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN License in the state of practice
Preferred Qualifications: (NOT REQUIRED)
- Experience in Patient Blood Management
- Experience in Performance Improvement
- Experience in Program Coordination/Management
