Patient Safety Companion- Emergency Services- 36 hours per week 8P-8A every third weekend
This position is responsible for: Providing continuous one-on-one supervision in order to promote a safe environment for the patient. A patient safety companion is responsible for clinical duties equivalent to a Nursing Assistant.Position Responsibilities Provide direct observation of patient at all times and maintain the ability to safely exit the patient's room. Observe and accurately relay behaviors, which may indicate potential harm to self or others, such as unpredictability, suicidal ideation or threats, or signs of deterioration, to the nurse or the provider.
