Preferred applicants possess at least one year of Genetics and/or High-Risk Cancer experience and/or are certified for Genetics through City of Hope or the National Consortium of Breast Cancers (NCBC).
Rush University System for Health and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center have partnered to create RUSH MD Anderson Cancer Center. The partnership represents advanced clinical and operational integration in the delivery of cancer care, providing Rush patients greater access to cancer treatments and research considered among the best in the world.
The RUSH MD Anderson Cancer Center at Rush University Medical Center began offering screenings and services for patients at high risk of cancer in 2020. A risk screening tool was implemented in Breast Imaging, which began yielding referrals for patients in need of counseling when flagged at high risk. The High-Risk program also includes patients in active treatment or survivorship who want to understand if their initial cancer diagnosis places them at risk of future cancer diagnoses as well as multi-cancer early detection testing. The High-Risk program involves collaboration with Breast Imaging, Surgical Oncology, Medical Oncology, Genetic Counselors and more.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Monday-Friday
Four, 10-hour shifts/week
Ability to work at suburban locations (ex: Lisle, Oak Park)
100% outpatient
Preferred Qualifications:
· Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Genetics, High-Risk Cancer, Breast Medical Oncology and/or Breast Surgery is preferred. Relevant RN experience may be considered.
Position Requirements:
Nurse Practitioner:
Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position
Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)
CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Physician Assistant:
Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program
Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
Pay Range: $128,000 – $190,000
