JOB SUMMARYThe Infection Preventionist 1 works under the direct supervision of the Infection Prevention Manager to implement and review the facility?s infection prevention program, to ensure existing standards and guidelines of applicable professional organizations and regulatory and governmental agencies are incorporated into the program, and serves as a resource person regarding infection prevention issues for all facility personnel.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLEImplements infection prevention strategies to prevent and control the transmission of infectious agents, applying epidemiologic values and evidence-based guidelinesConducts on-going surveillance using Centers for Disease Control (CDC) infection criteria
