Registered Nurse, Patient Safety
The Patient Safety Nurse (PSN) functions as a patient safety expert to the VA Western Colorado Health Care System, under the direction of the Patient Safety Manager (PSM) and with the support and direct responsibility to the Chief of Quality, Safety, and Value (QSV). The employee is a key person in helping build, implement, and educate on patient safety systems and promote a just culture of safety for the facility. Basic Requirements: English Language Proficiency. In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7403(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English. Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program
