Responsible and accountable for leading hospital clinical operations by working through directors and other health care team members in providing patient care 24 hours/day and 7 days/week. Embodies the tenants of high reliability and strongly supports clinical nurse driven shared governance. Is a visible leader that champions our continued Magnet designation and exercises accountability for nursing care wherever it is provided in the hospital. Assumes active leadership role with Community Board, Senior Leadership, Medical Staff and with hospital leaders in hospital and Centura health. Important to this role is understanding the leadership expectations of this position and the entire leadership team throughout Centura Health. Each leader must have a personal and professional connection to the Mission of this Christian organization. This position must be a team player themselves and contribute toward a Team centered approach that lends itself to ensuring "team before self" in order to lead this complex, highly matrixed organization into the differentiated leading role as THE system of choice.
