Position Summary: The Director of Pharmacy (Hospital) is responsible for collaborating with Pharmacy and System leaders to develop system-wide strategies and priorities for the individual acute care services provided at (hospital). Collaboration with hospital leaders within their hospital to ensure pharmacy services are appropriate and delivering required outcomes are a core responsibility of this position. Responsibilities also include leading operational and clinical activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, meeting fiscal expectations and ensuring staff competency. Communication of key activities, outcomes, and improvement are also responsibilities of this position. Work situations are varied requiring a strong pharmaceutical knowledge base, change management, problem solving, decision-making, data analysis, and leadership. Internal contacts include all leadership at all levels, medical staff, and staff. External contacts include physicians, competing organizations, vendors and professional organizations.
Minimum Requirements: 5 years of managerial or supervisory experience. Completion of an Accredited ASHP specialized health system pharmacy administrative residency program in lieu of leadership experience for internal candidates will be considered 8 years of experience and mastery in a professional role/function Experience as a pharmacy RPD preferred
Education/Licenses/Certifications: Eligible for Washington State Pharmacist License MBA, MPH, MHA or Master degree preferred Successful completion of an Accredited ASHP residency preferred
