The role you’ll contribute:
The Unit Culture Consultant, under the direction of the Unit Culture Program Director, is responsible for participating in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Unit Culture program across AdventHealth. This position collaborates with market leaders to develop and deploy Unit Culture policies, procedures and processes; Is responsible for supporting the deployment of standard education tools and programs that enables success of the UCP across all AdventHealth regions and division. Supports and educates master facilitators and leaders on Unit Culture topics, to include, but not limited to, standardized huddles, and topics from the master playbook, which contains many activities related to effective management and leadership, learning and improvement, and creating and maintaining cultural health in AdventHealth’s many clinical and non-clinical units..
The value that you bring to the team:
·The Specialist, Clinical Unit Culture position is based at Headquarters.The position will require significant travel (up to 100%) to local hospital campuses throughout the Florida Region or Multi-State Region of Advent Health.
·Is responsible for participating in the development, implementation and maintenance of the Unit Culture program in collaboration with each region/hospital, engaging with Senior Leadership, Physician Leadership, Patient Safety Officers, mid-level managers and frontline staff and helping them to understand the roles they play in creating high reliability and the specific activities that must do to engage with this program.
·Supports training and mentoring of AdventHealth facility leaders and staff on LENS, Unit Culture, High Reliability Organization (HRO) concepts and process improvement.Responsible for effectively collaborating and communicating with AdventHealth facility leaders to ensure support is provided for local implementation and evaluation of program.
·Collaborates with Unit Culture team to develop, deploy and evaluate the Unit Culture model that effectively promotes a high reliability organization
·Supports development and deployment of processes, policies, procedures and training materials for Unit Culture program across AdventHealth
·Supports clinical program development for each segment of the Unit Culture program; this includes standardization of Safety Huddles and implementation of digital learning boards.
·Responsible for assessing areas of opportunity within each market and bringing forth recommendations for improvement. Identifies best practices and share locally, regionally and nationally with other AdventHealth facilities
·Supports communications, coaching, mentoring, managing and leadership of Unit Culture partners
·Collaborates with Clinical and Corporate Analytics, AIT, and Performance Improvement teams.
·Applies change management principles for successful Unit Culture participation and accomplishment of initiatives at AdventHealth facilities.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree Nursing or other Allied Health Profession
·5+ years in a healthcare organization
·2+ years of healthcare Leadership experience
·2+ years of Process Improvement or Change Management experience
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
·Nursing or Allied Health Professional License
·AND One of the following Certifications:
·CPPS, CPHQ (or equivalent), CNML
·Change Management Certification
·Lean or Six Sigma Certification
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
·Master’s degree
·Prior experience in Quality and Safety
·Experience in presenting before a large audience and adapt their communication style to the audience
·Project management experience
