This position will be the subject matter expert on policy and procedures, medical record reviews and be responsible for completing audits.

Role Purpose
Ensures appropriate communication and information exchange with all levels of the organization hospital regulatory compliance, legal, or risk management to accomplish patient safety goals and program initiatives. Takes initiative to promote regulatory compliance through perpetual readiness, promote the performance improvement activities and patient safety activities at the hospital. In the absence of the immediate department manager, will assume leadership and coordination of all patient safety events.
Responsibilities
Manages, provides consultation and support to improvement teams, functions or departments related to transformation or performance improvement initiatives.
Coaches department and hospital staff in best techniques for performance improvement, regulatory compliance or patient safety practices through example, advice, just in time education and routine training and communication.
Instructs, coordinates and monitors the work activities of department staff, managing the work schedule for department projects and process improvement events.
Guides project teams in conducting performance improvement and process redesign projects using appropriate analytic and facilitation techniques.
Develops and maintains best practices to investigate, analyze and report progress toward outcomes of performance improvement projects, regulatory compliance or information and data about patient safety events.
