The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Medical Group West FL
The role you’ll contribute: Patient Navigator
The Patient Navigator would work under the direction of the Manager, Director and Administrator to facilitate and coordinate patient care between our Hospitals and Physician Offices. The Patient Navigators must work seamlessly with: patients, healthcare teams and resource providers in both the Hospital and Physician Office. Responsible for assisting with front office operations including but not limited to billing, invoicing, scheduling, patient check in and check out, tracking of procedures, reporting and insurance verification.

Demonstrates good communication skills respectfully and courteous when interacting with patients, co-workers, physicians, and colleagues within department.
Round with physicians and Care Management Coordinators to assist with coordination of care and follow up scheduling.
Performs front office responsibilities as assigned.
Accepts flexibility of schedule to meet program needs.
Maintains efficiency in patient work-up flow and triage responsibilities.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
Good medical knowledge to assist doctor during patient coordination of care.
Ability to communicate effectively with unit and administrative personnel, physicians, a variety of other hospital staff.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well independently and with others in a team environment.
Ability to integrate the knowledge of teaching principles and techniques in order to provide education to patients and their families.
Possess a high level of organizational skills and effective time management to prioritize and adjust workflow according to changing needs.
Ability to function in demanding and emergency situations.
Possess orientation to detail.
Be proficient in computer skills.
Ability to adapt to change.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a clinical setting.
Current, valid CPR certification is required (BLS).
Preferred qualifications:
Medical Assistant Certification
