JOB SUMMARY:Collaborates in planning, developing and implementing the Patient Safety Plan throughout Harris Health System. Addresses areas of patient safety with individual departments. Maintains regulatory compliance in areas of patient safety. Ensures mandatory reporting requirements to local, state, and federal agencies as required. Uses recognized methods to identify gaps in processes and assist departments to implement strategies to increase the delivery of safe patient care. Must have the ability to manage complex issues and people. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and team building skills. This position demonstrates a high degree of responsibility, accountability, and autonomy.
