The OneOhio Recovery Foundation is a private, non-profit foundation created at the direction of Ohio’s state and local leaders to distribute 55 percent of the settlement funds that the state receives from the pharmaceutical industry as a consequence of its role in the national opioid epidemic. The Foundation will work with local interests to support their opioid misuse treatment, recovery and prevention efforts and invest funds to support these efforts for Ohioans into the future.   In 2017 and later in 2018, then Attorney General Mike DeWine was one of the first state Attorney Generals in the United States to file lawsuits against the opioid drug manufacturers and distributors and has since maintained the resolve that these companies must pay for the damages caused by opi
