The Risk Manager is responsible for developing and managing the VA Central Ohio Healthcare System's Risk Management Program in accordance with regulatory agencies, VHA, and facility requirements. This includes interpreting VA handbooks and Directives related to Risk Management. S/he serves as a subject matter expert for risk management and assists the facility leadership team in developing strategic planning to reduce risks to the organization. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
