The role you’ll contribute:
As the Risk Management Coordinator, operating under the direction of the Director of Risk Management, assists in the planning and implementation activities of the facility-wide Risk Management program. This includes identifying and assessing potential risk, planning and implementing loss prevention and loss control activities, and maintaining appropriate risk management records. Assists the Risk manager with quality-of-care issues by using established Policy and Procedures, hospital and Medical Staff Bylaws, and Rules & Regulations, conducts reviews of patient records deemed as high risk to the facility. Provides support role to Risk Management and acts as designee when requested to do so by the Risk Manager.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
•Serves as a resource to hospital administration, other employees, and physicians on Risk Management/legal/ethical
issues, including off-hour and holiday coverage as needed.
•Reviews, investigates and processes internal event report system for assigned area in compliance with Florida Statute
395.0197.
•Monitors, analyzes, and reports aggregated event report data to the Risk Management Director and assigned hospital
leaders with a focus on risk exposures for trends or patterns.
•Manages the identification, investigation, resolution and prevention of patient care-related grievances per established
patient grievance protocol in compliance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
ASN or BSN
License registered nurse
Current clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
•Leadership qualities, strong communication and interpersonal skills
