Job Summary:
This position reviews, analyzes, and evaluates division programs and operations to ensure proper management of an efficient and effective Supply Chain. Analyzes and evaluates operational systems, including policies, procedures, objectives, cost effectiveness, staff utilization, etc., to ensure the optimum delivery of supply chain services, providing supportive services to management and professional staff. Also includes development, implementation, and collection of customer surveys.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for analytic reporting and forecasting to senior leadership based on supply chain expense trends, benchmarks, value and market changes. Provide support to the Financial Planning division including preparation of the annual operating budget.
- Responsible for supply chain reporting, measuring and tracking of strategic goals, system integration, initiatives and key performance indicators against targets and benchmarks to provide updates to supply chain leadership including COO. Performs analysis of WMCHealth supply expense and trends to support financial health, quality and performance goals.
- Responsible for the preparation of the annual operating budget for the division; challenging assumptions to ensure validity and proactively seeking out opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
- Evaluates the financial performance of existing programs and services. Compare preliminary projections to actual performance. Identify areas of improvement and lead group to develop corrective business plans. Present results and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Tracks, reviews, and validates supply chain value, based on local and GPO contract negotiation and value creation initiatives, working collaboratively with Strategic Sourcing, Contracting, and Value Creation staff.
- Participates in the evaluating partnerships with external supply chain vendors through business reviews and contract compliance.
- Assists with forecasts to help identify external/market trends and predict impacts on supply chain activities.
- Creates staffing justifications and job descriptions to ensure departments are adequately staffed. Responsible for FTE budget approval requests in order to ensure budget compliance and be quick to hire. Participate in the recruitment process.
- Utilize staffing resources and manage department workflow by assisting and directing staff in the completion of various tasks.
- Responsible for conducting regular customer surveys.
- Exhibit a high level of business and financial acumen to develop meaningful business recommendations.
- Can summarize analyses, findings, and recommendations in a variety of presentation formats for Senior Leaders.
- Analyze new business integration/acquisition opportunities; perform ad hoc business analysis, summarizing results and recommendations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
3 years of experience in which the primary function of the position was either health care related research, analysis, and presentation of statistical data, or health care organization planning in an automated systems environment.
Education:
A Bachelor's degree, required. A Master's degree in health, business, public administration or related field may be substituted for two years of the above experience.
Licenses / Certifications:
AHRMM CMRP within two years
Other:
Good knowledge of organizational and administrative processes and techniques as they apply to health care supply chain; Good knowledge of the techniques and methods used in supply chain operations analysis; ability to identify recognize and develop solutions to operational and administrative problems; ability to organize and analyze data and draw conclusions and prepare analytical reports using common business software including Microsoft. Able to design effective questionaires, reporting procedures, and statistical tables. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
