The Senior Specialist, HR Services is responsible for assisting the Manager, Human Resources with implementation and execution of the various human resources related strategic initiatives. Participates in various aspects of Human resources programs, coordinating programs or activities as assigned. Areas of responsibility include general HR functions, workers compensation, employee relations, training and development and rewards and recognition programs. Facilitates the resolution of various Human Resources problems and provides support to employees and management staff consistent with the policies and procedures established.
*** This position will sit local in either Birmingham, AL; Charleston, SC; or Rock Hill, SC) and has the option for a hybrid work schedule (in office plus remote days).
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelors in related field or equivalent experience
- Required: Seeking 3 to 6 years years in Human Resources; Prior experience in a Healthcare setting is preferred
- Preferred: SHRM-SCP, SPHR or CHHR, or equivalent HR certification
Additional skills required:
The interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with employees, medical personnel, and other members of the health care team. Ability to work on multiple projects, work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision. Capable of data collection, analysis and interpretation. Creation of documents to support data findings. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Advanced computer skills. Must display a high degree of discretion and confidentially. Working knowledge of EEOC, federal and state labor laws, FMLA, and ADA.
