JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Vice President of Data & Analytics will be a critical member of the executive leadership team reporting to the Vice President, Chief Commercial and Strategy. The Vice President of Data & Analytics will be responsible for setting and executing current and long-term goals for enterprise data management, analytics and reporting, in collaboration with senior management across the enterprise.
The Vice President of Data & Analytics will have direct budget accountability of over $10-15 million, oversee over 60 employees as well as manage key vendor relationships. S/he will be responsible for defining and executing Data & Analytics strategies in a dynamic environment and in support of Tenet Healthcare programs and operations. Additionally, the Vice President of Data & Analytics will act as a change agent and lead the continued transformation of the organization to be a leading Data & Analytics function in healthcare services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Vice President of Data & Analytics will collaborate with business leaders to develop data-informed strategies in service of enterprise goals, develop analytics capabilities across the enterprise and enable self-service reporting through technology implementation, best practices, and training. Key responsibilities include:
� Partners with Data & Analytics Stakeholders: Collaborates closely with senior management to define and prioritize strategic use cases across Acute, Ambulatory, Clinical, and Corporate.
� Oversees Demand Management: Accountable for the Analytics portfolio which includes the creation, tracking, budgeting, forecasting and monitoring of projects.
� Establishes Policies and Standards: Establishes data and analytics policies, standards, organization. Creates and oversees reports on data metrics and has executive-level responsibility for all enterprise information/data management budgeting and initiatives.
� Manages Data & Analytics Governance: Organizes and implements policies, procedures, structures, roles and responsibilities that outline and enforce rules of engagement, decision rights and the accountabilities for the effective management of information assets.
� Maximizes Data Quality and Data Warehousing: Creates strategy to capture the right type of data and metadata, ensure consistent, clean and integrated data which will be used by business leaders to make more informed decisions.
� Masters Business Intelligence Delivery: Establishes an architecture and a collection of integrated decision-support tools � providing the business community easy access to insights to improve business unit productivity and quality, reduce costs and grow the business
� Establishes Business Performance Metrics: Builds business performance dashboards � a business performance management system. Provides timely information and insights that enable employees to improve decisions, optimize processes and plans and work proactively.
� Navigates Unstructured and Big Data: Includes social media, emails, medical records, pictures. Takes inventory of all that unstructured data � the big data challenge � determining its format, security, ownership, quality and what should � and shouldn�t � be captured.
� Pioneers Emerging Technology: Effectively deploys innovation labs, data lake, and data science to promote self-service and predictive insights
� Maintains Security and Privacy: Determines and enforces specific security and privacy requirements for each piece of data � especially as it relates to privacy laws, industry regulations and corporate compliance mandates.
� Performs other related duties as assigned and modified at leader�s discretion.
Qualifications:REQUIRED SKILLS:

Education/Expertise Requirements
� Bachelor�s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Analytics or equivalent
� Master�s Degree in a relevant field is preferred
� 10 or more years of progressively relevant experience in data management and analytics
� Familiarity leading organizations through agile delivery models such as SAFe or Agile 4.0.
� Experience driving cloud transformation for the data warehouse required.
� Demonstrated senior management experience
� Recognized thought leader in developing and executing data and analytics strategies
� Superior verbal and written communication skills.
