Northwell Health’s Division of Geriatric & Palliative Medicine is seeking a Medical Director to join the Orzac Center for Rehabilitation in Valley Stream, NY.
The Orzac Center for Rehabilitation, a 5-star Medicare rated facility and recognized by U.S. News & World Report with a Best Nursing Home Rating for 2021-2022, provides outstanding rehabilitative care and enriched quality of life for patients. This safe and caring “home away from home” provides extended care services, social interaction, and daily care for people recovering from serious illness or injury. The state-of-the-art facility offers a warm, friendly environment that includes a beautiful patio, spacious lobby, and private and semi-private rooms that patients can personalize with special items from home. The center’s doctors, nurses, therapists, social workers, and other professionals are selected for their high level of training and expertise as well as their compassionate care. All are dedicated to supporting patients every step of the way during their recovery.
The ideal candidate will be board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with subspecialty boards in Geriatrics or Palliative Medicine and/or Post-Acute experience preferred. This opportunity would offer Academic appointment with the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra University as we are committed to preparing the next generation of physicians in these subspecialities through accredited fellowship programs and other educational services.
