The Accounts Payable Specialist â�� The AP Specialist is responsible for the processing of invoices/vouchers, resolving problems, processing & reviewing daily payment scheduler, scanning documentation into VI Web, performing invoice uploads, working with employees and vendors on problem invoices/vouchers. In addition, the AP Specialist is required to obtain documentation for vendor adds and changes, signed Stark II and W9 forms, as well as, special projects as requested by the AP Coordinator or Management.
Processing of invoices & vouchers in IMMS
Reviewing and reconciling vendor statements
Resolving invoice and GL account coding issues
Processing of invoice uploads in IMMS and working with users on providing upload spreadsheets with all appropriate approval documentation
Work as a team helping absorb workload responsibilities when employees are out of the office
Work daily payment scheduler
Scan invoice/voucher documentation into VI Web and reviewing absent in VI Web report
Working with vendors and the Vendor Maintenance Team on vendor adds & changes
Various special projects as assigned by the AP Coordinator and Management.
Must possess a High School Diploma
At least 5 yearsâ�� experience in Accounts Payable
Processing experience in a hospital or healthcare experience highly preferred
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and general accounting software and have strong typing/data entry skills
Must be organized
Ability to interact and respond professionally to complaints and inquiries from coworkers, management and customers
Effective time management, organizational and communication skills, both written and oral
