You Will Be Responsible For:
Works with Quality Assurance/Utilization Review (QA/UR) committee to identify provider opportunities for performance improvement and creates plans to achieve desired performance, in addition to network opportunities for performance improvement and creates and recommends network level solutions.
Works with Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) team under direction of the president of AHPN to address network level and provider level opportunities for improvement
Works with analytics team to provide relevant data to the committee and the network leadership that assesses performance and drives insights to opportunities
Attends QA/UR meetings and prep meetings as needed to support the committee’s curriculum
Attends Board Meetings monthly as part of the Admin team
Develops and provides oversight to comprehensive Risk Adjustment/Clinical Documentation program including educational content, Clinical Document Information (CDI) contracting and program performance
Serves in an advisory capacity to the President of AHPN and admin team in all matters relating to clinical performance
Serves as an escalation point for Care Management/Utilization Management (CM/UM) team for all exceptions/outliers
Serves as first escalation point for matters of clinical peer review
Works with Transfer Center leadership, Health Management (HM) leadership and Utilization Management (UM) leadership in Management Services Organization (MSO) to develop, maintain and oversee a repatriation and Network integrity program that facilitates in network utilization and repatriation of network members
Provides leadership and oversight to all Quality programs with payers and within the network to drive top decile performance.
Provides regular reports as to network performance in quality, experience and cost to Network leadership in various forums and to the Board of Directors.
Provides leadership and is accountable for maintenance of policies and procedures that impact quality, experience and utilization.
At the direction of the President, serves as a clinical liaison to the medical group and campus CMOs on matters of clinical performance, clinical integration and creation of cross continuum pathway development.
At the direction of the President, serves as a member of the Risk Readiness SWAT team that certifies and monitors risk ready performance of providers and practices in the network.
Collaborates with Physicians to enhance and accelerate development and implementation of Programs to reduce clinical variation/development of care pathways focused on reducing patient risk, improving health outcomes, and developing innovative care models.
What You Will Need:
Education and Experience Required:
Medical Degree with at least 10 years clinical practice experience in primary care
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a senior leadership role leading and managing complex organization change and performance improvement in a Population Health role.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:
Skilled at the deployment of clinical practices and processes, legal and regulatory requirements and mandates, and the ability to gather and evaluate data and outcome results to use in planning hospital operations, budgets, and process improvement.
Strategic thinker and a driver of execution, capable of understanding and communicating alignment of change initiatives to the Vision as well as project objectives, value propositions and resource requirements.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Able to effectively express ideas and views through public speaking, presentations, reports, and professional correspondence.
Exceptional people management, leadership skills, and the capacity to relate to people in a manner that wins confidence and establishes support. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Strong business acumen, intelligence, and capacity; able to think strategically and implement tactically.
Ability to approach his/her work as an interconnected system. Ability to understand major objectives and break them down into meaningful action steps.
Strong organizational abilities and the flexibility to adjust to changing conditions and the various details of the position.
Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office suite.
Deep knowledge of primary care: management, process and clinical care.
Knowledge of and experience in leading change among multiple stakeholders to achieve enterprise goals.
Prior experience with Value Based Care Delivery
The Executive Medical Director, AdventHealth Physician Network, Central Florida Division (EMD AHPN-CFD) will report to the SVP Population Health President AHPN CF and lead the advancement and performance of the AdventHealth Physician Network (AHPN) and its stakeholders including AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) and independent providers. The Executive Medical Director, AHPN-CFD will lead the implementation of strategies and processes to develop care models that will produce high-quality, patient-centered care delivery in a value-based environment and provide clinical oversight for the AHPN-CFD. The Executive Medical Director, AHPN-CFD will serve as the physician leader helping to create evidence-based care models that support the performance, innovation and development of risk-taking capabilities among primary care and specialty practices within the AHPN.
