Principal Leadership & Organization Development Consultant
JOB SUMMARY: Serves as the Organizational Development subject matter expert on issues that impact the ability of employees to achieve the Medical Center strategic goals and key transformation projects. Provides leadership and support for developing people, systems, work processes and work environment to drive business results. Provides planning, coaching, facilitation and consultation services to teams and individuals in designing and implementing strategies for solving complex organizational or Human Resources challenges. Uses Organizational Development methods, procedures, and tools to implement solutions, and continuously improving strategies, structure, and systems for the organization.
Implements and manages a comprehensive dashboard of relevant metrics on employee and leadership effectiveness across the organization as well as relevant metrics on OD efforts to maximize organizational effectiveness.
Designs and maintains a comprehensive repository of OD tools and processes used across the OD Consulting group and standardizes those as it makes sense. Uses this repository to familiarize new OD Consultants to our service portfolio
Serves as a consultant or project manager on organizational initiatives related to Organizational Development in general and the continued collaboration of OD with Process Excellence
Using a variety of tools, conducts assessments and evaluates business initiatives as well as identifies gaps between clients' current and desired future state
Develops and implements intervention strategies relevant to organizational needs and strategic priorities
Collaborates with managers and leaders to design customized solutions for increasing engagement and productivity in their departments and/or on cross-functional teams. This includes, but is not limited to team building sessions, change management, strategic planning, performance improvement, and conflict resolution.

CONSULTING (EXPERT): - The capability, normally based on a specific expertise, to influence others, manage the relationship and deliver results for a client in a professional manner.
TRAINING NEEDS ANALYSIS (EXPERT): - A process of collecting information about a proposed learning program. A needs analysis addresses the following issues: restating the request, stating the business need, identifying the performance gap, conducting a task analysis, describing the learners, describing the learning environment, and identifying the project constraints.
ADULT LEARNING THEORY (EXPERT): - Knowledge of the principles and practices of providing instruction to the adult learner. Able to focus adult learning goals and the ability to direct their own learning.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Candidates with a master's degree must have a t least five years of relevant Organizational Development experience
Experience, knowledge, and strong analytical skills in developing, tracking, and understanding metrics, and using them to discover trends and patterns
Working experience and demonstrated success in cross-functional teams working together in the areas of change management and process improvement
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Exceptional interpersonal, consultation, facilitation, training/presentation, and relationship-building skills
Proven, successful change management experience
Analytical skills necessary to gather, interpret, and present data and make appropriate recommendations for action
Comfortable with complex dynamics and the proven ability to translate them into action planning
Knowledge of adult learning theory
Knowledge of curriculum development
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member with all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to recognize and honor confidentiality
Proven program development and project management skills for organization wide initiatives
High-level problem solving and conflict management skill and experience
