This is a Leadership level role and requires extensive healthcare revenue cycle experience as well as process improvement, and billing compliance. J OB SUMMARY: Director Revenue Cycle Leadership
Vanderbilt University Medical Center Executive Search is conducting a national search for a Director, Revenue Cycle Process Improvement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use data and technology for both discovery and sustainable change.
- Identify, communicate, and align overall strategy for department improvement across the system. Develop departmental strategies to meet Revenue Cycle and VUMC goals and performance metrics.
- Act as primary departmental leader with responsibilities for optimizing the Epic system to improve revenue cycle performance.
- Engage with Revenue Cycle Executive Leadership to identify opportunities to enhance operational workflow efficiencies, improve Epic system functionality, increase patient satisfaction, and reduce costs associated with revenue cycle functions.
- Ensure that the Revenue Cycle Process Improvement department resources focus on projects aligned with Revenue Cycle and VUMC strategic, financial, and patient service objectives. Lead efforts to plan and implement solutions to address those opportunities. Assign and prioritize department resources to relevant projects.
- Formulate and administer system-level policies and procedures related to revenue cycle functions.
- Ensure management compliance with documented and established workflow guidelines and procedures.
- Take a leadership role in technology implementations affecting the Revenue Cycle. Assist in the identification of innovative technologies that will improve revenue cycle operations.
- Participate in developing the departmental long-term and short-term goals, objectives, plans, policies, and procedures.
- Foster an environment of high performance and accountability within all Revenue Cycle areas, leveraging technology and innovation to streamline operations and ensure the sustainability of improvements.
- Compliance Activities:
- Establish a process for compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and directive from regulatory agencies and third-party payers
- Establish consistent and standardized compliance audit methodology for sample selection, scoring and benchmarking, development and reporting of findings, and repayment calculations.
