Patient Safety Specialist

 

Collaborates with organizational leadership and safety partners to assess and improve systems of care delivery, identify Serious Safety Events (SSEs) utilizing a standardized classification system and facilitate investigation and action plan development in response to SSEs. Responsible for reviewing, reporting and data trending of patient safety related events and near miss events. Facilitates Root Cause Analyses for SSEs across the health system and helps lead the organization and our people in adopting and embracing a culture of high reliability and safety as our focus in everything we do.

 

 

Implements and monitors a Patient Safety Program that promotes a culture of safety and the prevention of avoidable harm. Provides expertise and support to identify, monitor, analyze, trend and mitigate potential risks to the organization. This department is responsible for all lines of business in all service locations.
