This is an excellent opportunity to understand the unique perspectives of the target audience and their wants, needs, and priorities to enhance retention with Duke Nursing. In this role you will drive and support internal employee engagement and retention through effective and thoughtful communication of the 'why' behind Duke Nursing while building strong two-way rapport to have a pulse on engagement for Duke Nursing. The ability to partner and collaborate with departments throughout the organization is imperative for success in this role. You will partner with DUHS Nursing Executives to develop strategies for workforce engagement & retention. In addition, you will partner with Human Resources to ensure that workforce surveys are planned and administered in alignment with Nursing & Patient Care Services priorities and regulatory requirements. As part of the new leader orientation process, you will advise nurse leaders on their roles in engagement and retention. You will also ensure managers understand related metrics. You will also partner with Communications, Analytics, HR, and others to ensure that nursing engagement and retention data is thoughtfully and accurately interpreted and communicated to stakeholder groups. In addition to being able to successfully navigate in a fast-paced, matrixed, complex healthcare environment, ideal candidates should have previous experience in leadership with a strong knowledge of retention strategies.
