The Senior Risk Manager, under the direction of the SAHS Director of Risk Management, is responsible for maintaining the internal risk and claims reporting systems, including the review of reported events and claims, assistance with analyzing and investigating the clinical and non-clinical events using various methodologies, and management of data. Assists with oversight of the SAHS risk management department operations and staff. Assists Director with Board and Committee support including membership, report writing and reporting. This leader needs to have maturity and grounded leadership skills, and the ability to continue learning opportunities.
Bachelor's Degree with a major in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is required
Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) is Preferred (must be acquired within 5 years of hire)
Five (5) years of healthcare Risk management required
Two (2) years of management/leadership experience preferred
