Milwaukee, WI - The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) seeks an experienced, collaborative and progressive physician leader to join one of the largest academic multispecialty group practices in the country as the Chief Medical Officer, Ambulatory Specialty Practice (CMO). The CMO will lead the adult ambulatory specialty practice across the Froedtert & MCW enterprise to serve as a pivotal leader for the Medical College Physicians (MCP) and Community Physician (CP) practices. The CMO, in concert with MCP and CP leadership, will be responsible for setting and implementing a bold innovative agenda for excellence in ambulatory clinical services. This clinical leader will be responsible for the specialty practice's performance, clinical integration and growth of the ambulatory platform ensuring care is coordinated, accessible, high quality and cost-effective across the enterprise.
The successful candidate will have a substantive track record of clinical operations leadership in an academic medical center and facile in a complex, highly matrixed environment with an established career in clinical operations. They will have intimate knowledge of clinical practice, quality and patient safety, an understanding of the business of healthcare, and will earn the respect of peers through professional achievement and objectivity.
An MD or DO degree is required and completion of a postgraduate medical education in an ACGME approved residency program in any specialty with current Board Certification. An advanced degree in healthcare or business related field is preferred. The CMO who will best succeed is one who is visible, proactive, decisive, an outstanding communicator, and is able to build relationships across MCW and Froedtert Health engaging peers to deliver excellence in clinical care.
