Role Summary : Assist the Administrative Director to create a patient/family focused, high-performance, high-commitment work team which supports the mission, vision and credo of the Vanderbilt Clinical Enterprise. Collaborate with medical directors and providers to meet and maintain established goals of the walk-in clinics.
Our walk-in clinics provide high quality health care services in a location convenient for many. With nine locations in Davidson, Sumner and Williamson counties, patients can find care close to home when needed. Board-certified Vanderbilt physicians or nurse practitioners are always on site, and no appointments are necessary. Our clinics offer advanced services such as EKG, lab and X-rays, with immediate results. The Vanderbilt Walk-In Clinic saves patients' time and possibly a trip to the Emergency Room.
The clinics take care of common illnesses and minor injuries, including allergies, infections, sore throats and stomach bugs. Screening, testing and preventative services available include breathing treatments, drug screenings, EKGs, lab testing, pregnancy testing, TB skin testing, vaccinations, and X-rays. Physicals needed for adoptions, camps, or sports, the Department of Transportation and pre-employment are also offered.

Responsible to the Administrator for the integration of nursing practice across the clinical enterprise. Utilizes satisfaction data, best practices and market information to improve service and satisfaction.
Demonstrates high level of knowledge of patient population and delivery of care requirements. Assists to identify, justify, and acquire resources required to deliver patient care.
Participates in collaboration with key stakeholders to develop and implement quality plan to meet goals. Promotes evidence-based changes to clinical practice. Uses appropriate processes and models to monitor and proactively manage risks. Ensures that care is safe, effective, efficient, timely, equitable, patient centered, and evidence based.
Assists in developing systems to optimize safe and effective patient through put. Outpatient/procedural: Measures and contributes to improvement in patient access, cycle times, and patient wait times.
Assists in maintaining readiness for survey/inspections by assuring healthcare team members are knowledgeable about policies and standards applicable to their work.
Defines space requirements and monitors the effective utilization of assigned space. Promotes space utilization that supports the vision. Proposed changes in space allocation.
