Oversee regulatory compliance for a national multi-site Senior Living company. Plan and direct programs, policies & practices to ensure all operations are in compliance with regulatory requirements. Formulate and implement regulatory policies & procedures to ensure that regulatory compliance is maintained or enhanced. Provide risk management / quality improvement consults and visits.
Communicates Assisted Living / Memory Care regulatory information to multiple departments and ensures that information is interpreted correctly.
Assists with licensing & compliance for new development communities.
Monitors compliance with federal, state and local regulatory requirements through scheduled community audits.
Prepares and files incident reports with multiple state licensing and regulatory agencies; responds to licensing and regulatory agencies regarding resident issues, program changes, and compliance; reviews agency survey findings and prepares appeals as indicated.
Supports Company executives, department heads and managers of the Company's business as a subject matter expert for regulatory, compliance and risk management issues.
Monitors emerging trends regarding senior living industry regulations to determine potential impacts on organizational processes and implements changes as necessary.
Updates operating policies related to regulatory compliance and risk management as necessary and ensure proper implementation of revised policies.
BA in a related field with emphasis in Social Services or Healthcare
Minimum 10 years experience in regulatory compliance & quality assurance in skilled nursing, acute care, assisted living or a related healthcare field.
Demonstrated expertise in a variety of healthcare concepts, practices and procedures
Advanced analytical and communication skills
Confidence to work independently and take ownership of projects
Demonstrated ability to work well with diverse groups of people
Ability to travel overnight as business needs require
Ability to work a flexible schedule in a 24 hour operation
