Health Program Manager III – Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program

California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is seeking a highly-skilled health program administrator well-versed in data, informatics, and software development to join our Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program. This newly-created statewide program is designed to provide integrated, specialized care to patients with a history of substance abuse who require additional medical assistance.
In this key position, you will:
Provide oversight for the most complex and sensitive projects within the Electronic Health Records System (EHRS) Documentation and Decision Support Unit
Coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of Cerner Millennium Tier levels I, II, and III clinical business solutions
Manage the most complex care programs to support patient care decisions and processes, including workflows related to the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment program
Advise executive management on recommended approaches for movement of clinical information within the EHRS that ensures providers and other clinicians have effective, patient-centered tools to support communication and safe, timely, effective, and efficient services at the point of care
Coordinate workflow between IT, clinical, and data analytic staff to identify and gather business and information requirements needed by clinical staff to deliver care and manage comorbidities
To thrive in this role, you must have:
Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Hospital Administration, Comprehensive Health Planning, Public Administration, or closely related field (one year of additional specialized qualifying experience may be substituted for Master’s degree)
Additionally, you must meet minimum qualifications through one of the following paths:
Five years of progressively responsible experience in health program administration, at least two of which must have included independent responsibility for a significant program; with experience in program planning and/or evaluation (a Doctoral Degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Health Planning, Public Administration, or closely related field may be substituted for one year of the required general experience)
Two years of experience in CA state service performing duties equivalent to an Health Program Specialist I or Health Program Manager I, of which one year must have included supervisor experience
One year of experience in CA state service performing duties equivalent to a Health Program Specialist II or Health Program Manager II
