The Alliant International University's Systemwide Couple and Family Therapy program has existed since 1973 and has been COAMFTE accredited since 2001. Both the MA and PsyD Programs operate as one program across multiple Alliant locations. They are housed in the California School of Professional Psychology.
The Branch Director and Core Faculty, Associate Professor Level,will provide Academic and administrative leadership in the San Diego location for the COAMFTE-accredited Couple and Family Therapy (CFT) MA and PsyD Programs. This is a full-time position to provide leadership as well as teaching and mentoring of students as a core faculty member. This position is part of a systemwide CFT Program offered in several locations (San Diego, Irvine, LA, Sacramento, and Online) and the Branch Director reports to the Systemwide Program Director of CFT Programs.
Doctoral degreein MFT (COAMFTE accredited program preferred) or closely related field; (licensed or license eligible in California) 1. Experience in teaching and mentoring within a graduate program 2. Academic, administrative experience, and experience with the COAMFTE accreditation processes 3. A record of achievement in the field 4. All candidates will have demonstrated an understanding of diversity issues, clinical expertise in providing services to diverse and underserved populations and a commitment to productive scholarship 5. Candidates also should have demonstrated competency in training students to work with multicultural and/or international populations and/or conducting culturally relevant research
