Reporting Relationships
The Senior Director, Supply Chain reports directly to the Vice President of Supply Chain.
Specific Senior Director Responsibilities
The Senior Director, Supply Chain has responsibility for the overall strategic direction of Supply Chain and Materials Management for Tenet�s Hospitals and Procurement Center in Arizona and California. The Senior Director works collaboratively with hospitals and physicians to ensure that supplies and equipment are available, with focus on quality and cost for the system. He/she serves as a change agent to ensure implementation/revisions to current processes, contract conversions and procedural changes. The Senior Director has overall management responsibilities that include: supply chain operations, value analysis process, and savings initiative implementation, contract conversions, contract compliance assurance, warehouse, distribution, and other related duties as assigned.
More specifically, the Senior Director, Supply Chain directs the provision of purchasing and materials management services. The Senior Director ensures adequate supplies and materials are available; promotes product standardization to achieve economies of scale; ensures cost effective procurement of supplies and equipment; directs the development of policies for the Materials Resource Management function and ensures compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. The Senior Director also ensures the development of department procedures/protocols and secures system approval as necessary. He/she develops short- to long-range goals and measures for area of responsibility and oversees the assessment of goal attainment. Additionally, the Senior Director has responsibility for developing, seeking approval of, monitoring and ensuring compliance with budget for area of responsibility.

Travel
Depending on work location (TX vs. AZ), this could amount to 20-30% Qualifications: Education/Certifications
A Bachelor�s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management or other related field from an accredited college or university is required. A Master�s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting is preferred.
Required Background Experience
A minimum of ten years of supply chain management experience with emphasis on finance/cost is required.
Must have a track record of assembling and leading strong supply chain teams, with a diverse talent base.
A thorough understanding of information systems, particularly MRP, and knowledge of ERP systems is highly desirable.
Must have experience in improving the engineering/procurement interface, particularly in the area of movement to standard designs and components from excessive unique designs and components.
A proven track record of success in leading change and achieving competitive advantage is key.
