The RN Risk Manager serves as the clinical loss prevention/risk management professional at assigned facility/facilities and assists the Director of Risk Management in the overall operations of the Ministry's clinical loss prevention/risk management activities. The RN Risk Manager develops, implements and maintains clinical loss prevention and risk management programs. The RN Risk Manager collaborates across departments/facilities to promote patient safety, performance improvement, and loss prevention. The RN Risk Manager will have a global view of the organization and is expected to exercise independent judgment in the performance of key job responsibilities.
Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Nursing or healthcare required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an acute care setting required
Minimum of 3 years of healthcare risk management experience preferred
C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
Must maintain current professional licensures (i.e. RN), as appropriate
Must acquire and maintain certification as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) within 5 years of hire
