beWellnm, New Mexico Health Insurance Exchange, a non-profit public corporation, whose mission is to provide qualified individuals and employers with increased access to health insurance in New Mexico, is looking for a full-time CEO.
This individual is the top executive and leadership position of the organization, embodying the highest standard of integrity and ethical conduct, and is ultimately responsible for all strategic decisions. The CEO works closely with the beWellnm Board in developing the strategic vision and direction for the organization, collaborating with the Board on matters of organizational policy and regulatory matters, and developing and implementing operational policies, while overseeing all staff operations and personnel. The CEO directs a diverse organization and has ultimate accountability for financial results, marketing and membership, risk management, education and training, regulatory compliance, information systems, communications and administrative functions.
Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a relevant field and ten years of senior management level experience within the insurance or healthcare industry. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s Degree and previous experience with a State-based health insurance exchange. The ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a highly professional and friendly manner, is critical. Candidates must be strategic thinkers, possess strong leadership skills, exhibit a strong commitment to customer service, have a solid knowledge and understanding of related legal and regulatory requirements, and be motivated, self-starters.
