Hospitals Insurance Company is currently seeking a Clinical Patient Safety Analyst to join its team in the New York Office!
This position is responsible for auditing medical records to determine provider compliance with hospital specified documentation criteria and associated patient safety projects.
Collects, consolidates, and analyzes audit data, and prepares graphics in order to assist with presentations to hospital representatives.
Develops and uses tools to track audit progress, makes recommendations for process improvement, and participates in the various Department clinical committees.
Communicates with hospital clients and with internal team members to clarify, obtain or provide information relevant to audit and analysis.
Education and Experience Required:
RN/LPN/PA, MPH or MHA degree.
2-5 years of chart review experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
Able to read a medical chart and accurately abstract chart data points; and be able to manipulate, analyze and report on clinical data sets.
Possess excellent organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and set appropriate systems in place to track projects.
Strong computer skills with the ability to effectively navigate computer and data management systems and software.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively on a highly collaborative team.
