Sheridan Healthcare (Sheridan), now Envision Physician Services, has retained Cejka Executive Search to assist in identifying a progressive physician executive to serve as the Vice President, Pain Management for the Anesthesia Division.
The recent merger of AMSURG and Envision Healthcare has positioned their physician services divisions (EmCare and Sheridan) to provide a broader continuum of clinical network solutions. The new division, Envision Physician Services, is the preferred national medical group for clinicians and the health solutions partner for hospitals and health systems, providing anesthesia, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, radiology, surgical services and women’s and children’s health services. The Anesthesia Division is rated number one among anesthesia services providers in reliability and availability of staff and rated highest in improving quality of clinical care.
With the continued growth of the organization, the Anesthesia Division seeks a nationally recognized thought leader in Pain Management to provide clinical and business leadership to manage existing business services and contractual arrangements as well as advance the Pain Management services for future growth. The Vice President will identify and implement best practice guidelines related to clinical service delivery and quality improvement initiatives to reduce variation of practice, maximize performance of quality measures, and ensure evidence-based practice is consistent across all practice locations. In addition to establishing a Pain Management quality platform with robust reporting, the Vice President will be responsible for leading the identification, expansion and development of new client contracts and clinical relationships. The Vice President will align a culture of quality across pain providers and locations to achieve a high level of outcomes, patient satisfaction and efficiencies in care.
Successful candidates for this position will be recognized physician executives with clinical expertise in pain management. Experience in building and growing high performing pain management services within a multi-hospital system or complex health care organization is required. Responsibility for monitoring and instituting quality and process improvement initiatives across numerous locations will be essential. Board certification is required; an advanced degree is desirable. Travel will be required.
