A large acute care hospital system is seeking a Sr. Vice President to lead it's Physician Practice Operations function. The ideal candidate will have operational health care leadership experience in a national or regional health system and will possess their MD or DO.
Summary: This position leads a team of clinical, operational and financial services for the employed practices nationwide in our markets (2,500+ employed providers). This position has frequent interaction with senior leadership, works closely with the Operations leadership and Hospital Chief Executive Officers to identify opportunities to grow and enhance the operations of the physician practices throughout our markets.
To establish new strategies, opportunities and options to enhance the practices throughout the company
Provide leadership for the Physician Practice Operations Mgt Team
Responsible for the financial, operational and quality results of the employed physician practices
Determine strategic direction (with senior leadership) of the employed physician practices to best support their local affiliated hospitals and their communities
Enable growth in services and market share
Create alignment with divisions and hospital leadership
Evolve approach to physician compensation
Coordinate and report information requested by senior management.
Make periodic reports to the Senior Management committee and Board of Directors as requested
Ensure processes created to enable compliance and/or performance consistent with ability to capture incentives and avoid penalties associated with MACRA, MIPS, APMs, MU, etc.
Collaborate with other company leaders to enhance the physician practice services, strategies and operations
Identify methodologies to reduce the overall investment in the physician practices (e.g. enhance productivity, and improve access including centralized scheduling, online scheduling, etc.)
Provide leadership and direction regarding the implementation of new models of care (e.g. CINs, ACOs, Bundled Payments, etc.)
Enhance the startup and educational processes for employed physicians
Develop and monitor methodologies to evaluate the financial performance and benchmarking of the employed clinical practices
Optimize the use and workflows of the AMR
Operational experience leading large multi-specialty practices
Experience implementing digital functionality, conversion of AMR systems and implementing Patient Access Centers.
Bachelors degree in related field required
Masters degree required
MD or DO preferred
Minimum of 10 years healthcare experience required
Experience in a large regional or national Hospital system or regional, national or multi-state Physician Practice preferred
