Develop and sustain a thorough knowledge of the practice, the working schedule and the various shift requirements in order to oversee and facilitate the day to day operations of the group.
Foster and maintain effective and productive professional working relationships with all staff and physicians.
Work closely with physician leadership to provide executive guidance, ensuring an effective strategic direction of the group and holding ultimate responsibility for the achievement of the group’s business and clinical goals.
Ensure that operating expenses are well within the prescribed limits of budget plans and fiscal guidelines.
Compile and prepare various status reports for physician leadership in order to analyze trends and make recommendations.
Keep abreast of applicable regulations, standards, and emerging trends impacting healthcare business office operations; ensure that regulatory updates are integrated into daily operations
Develop, implement, and enforce internal policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance, minimize risk to the organization.
Effectively manages projects to ensure timely achievement of objectives.
Interface with leadership and administrators of the facilities served and assist in negotiations for provider and payor contracts.
Maintain excellent patient, provider, healthcare center, and vendor relationships through proactive, customer service-oriented, and continuous improvement approach.
Assume a leadership role in project management and recommend innovative solutions for identified opportunities.
Plan, direct, and evaluate the work of staff; comply with human resources management regulations; ensure adequate staffing levels; make employment decisions, establish performance standards, and evaluate employee performance; educate, guide, counsel, and develop staff; and address performance management concerns
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to assistance with physician recruitment and monitoring of revenue cycle performance.
Greater than 7 years of experience in healthcare management preferred, of which at least 2 years was spent as a manager in a full service imaging department of an acute care hospital or physician organization.
Deep working knowledge of and experience within physician practice management highly preferred
A bachelor’s degree in clinical discipline such as health care, business, or health services administration; a master’s degree preferred
Driven leader with the ability to build alliances and achieve results through effective leadership, project management, communication, decision making, problem solving, and organizing.
