Cejka Executive Search has been exclusively retained by KidsPeace to assist in the recruitment for the Executive Director, Hospital Services of KidsPeace’s 120-bed freestanding child and adolescent hospital. KidsPeace, a national, non-profit organization, provides a full continuum of mental and behavioral health services to pediatric patients and their families.
Located an hour north of Philadelphia in the scenic Lehigh Valley, KidsPeace is dedicated to serving pediatric patients and their families by providing emotional and physical healthcare coupled with educational and rehabilitation services. In addition to KidsPeace’s free-standing psychiatric hospital, their continuum of care services include residential programs, community-based treatment programs, education services and foster care programs. KidsPeace has been serving the pediatric population for over 135 years and serves more than 11,000 young people annually in a variety of venues in eight states.
The Executive Director, Hospital Services is responsible for the overall leadership and operations of the hospital programs. The Executive Director will foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and commitment to multidisciplinary and coordinated models of patient care. The Executive Director will identify and operationalize process improvement initiatives that focus on quality, service, safety, and satisfaction. In partnership with clinical leadership, the Executive Director will expand and grow patient services, enhance programs, and facilitate appropriate transitions of care across the continuum to better serve patients and their families and meet the current and changing needs of the community. The Executive Director will ensure the hospital programs are operating in compliance with corporate philosophies, mission, vision, internal standards, and in accordance with regulatory agencies, while serving as the external representative for KidsPeace’s hospital programs.
Successful candidates will have demonstrated success and progressive leadership in managing a behavioral health service line or large, complex inpatient psychiatric services. Experience with hospital operations, budgetary and financial management, staff and leadership development, program development and compliance and regulatory requirements is essential. A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a clinical focus. A master’s degree is preferred.
