Witt/Kieffer has been engaged to conduct the search for the Executive Vice President of Kootenai Clinic (EVP) in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The organization is a multi-disciplinary outpatient physician group within Kootenai Health. Kootenai Health is a non-profit health system that provides a comprehensive range of medical services to patients in northern Idaho and throughout the Inland Northwest. The main campus is a 299-bed community-owned hospital in Coeur d'Alene.
Coeur d’Alene is situated 30 miles east of Spokane on beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene recognized as one of the Northwest’s most desirable communities. There are 4 ski resorts close by, and the Coeur d’Alene Resort which has made the community an increasingly popular destination.
The Kootenai Clinic employs more than 200 providers across the region – 160 physicians and 45 advanced practice professionals. Over the last four years, the Clinic has been growing by 20 to 25 physicians per year, with continued growth expected.
The EVP will have oversight for all matters related to the clinic operations and provider performance and will enhance a culture that promotes the highest quality of care across all sites of Kootenai Clinic. This leader will continue to build a cohesive, high-performing medical group that is focused on service excellence and continuous improvement. Through the development of successful performance improvement standards and practices, the EVP will succeed in creating a highly attractive practice environment for physicians and be committed to creating a culture that is supportive and fosters professional development.
The ideal candidate is an experienced medical group leader, with credibility and a distinct vision for the integrated medical group. He/she will be a strong communicator and will be able to formulate an approach to infrastructure and systems to support a high-performing regional medical group. The organization seeks candidates with a Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health or a related field. Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) in American College of Medical Practice Executives is preferred. She/he should be a decisive leader with a collaborative style who resonates with the mission and values of Kootenai Health.
