Senior Director, Risk Management
In this role, you will provide strategic direction and leadership for developing and implementing a national clinical risk management strategy. This includes identifying, evaluating, and optimizing opportunities to prevent medical error, respond to harm when it does occur, and respond to patients and families in a way that honors the Kaiser Permanente promise and brand. In addition, you will collaborate and partner with the Senior Director of Safety and Experience, the Permanente Federation, and the national, regional, and local leaders as well as work with a team of professionals who are accountable for designing and implementing innovative programs and projects to achieve the organization’s clinical risk management and patient safety goals.
At least ten years of experience in direct QA/QI related to hospital and ambulatory clinical settings
At least seven years of supervisory experience as well as experience in a clinical setting as a licensed clinical practitioner
At least ten years of experience in senior operational management and/or leadership role in a large complex delivery system preferred
A bachelor’s degree in nursing or medical degree
RN license if bachelor’s degree in nursing or MD license if medical degree
Demonstrated expertise in quality management processes, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and modeling
Demonstrated track record of identifying, developing, and leading complex teams within operations line management and within all other levels of the delivery system
Demonstrated success in implementing, executing, and improving processes (i.e., redesigning of systems, developing, and monitoring measurement systems, etc.)
Experience in Kaiser Permanente or similar integrated systems preferred
The ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
