Our Chief Operating Officer will understand market dynamics and know how to win the patient’s preference and create sustainable competitive advantage. Our COO will have the skills to effectively convert strategy into achievable plans and lead different departments and teams throughout the organization in one direction to advance the overall goals and position of Gonzaba Medical Group. Most importantly, our COO will be a master of execution and know how to align and build a team of high-performing individuals that continues to build on our solid innovative system of medical care that delivers quality, value, and accountability with transparency and integrity every day.
Our Chief Operating Officer will work under the direction of and in close collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer with primary responsibility to direct and manage all areas of clinical and community visibility and responsibility. The COO is responsible for providing operations leadership and accountability to the clinical lines of business and ancillary services to include personnel management, patient satisfaction, patient retention, clinical performance improvement, clinical productivity target volumes and clinical quality initiatives. In the community, the COO provides leadership and accountability for all business development, marketing and community engagement initiatives.

Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, healthcare, or related field required, Masters Degree or higher; preferred.
Must have a strong understanding and experience with our various lines of business: Managed Care/Capitation, Fee-for-Service, Urgent Care, Radiology, PM&R, and Physical Therapy. The COO must have healthcare group practice experience with previous physician group operations experience in a leadership role.
The ideal candidate will possess high-level strategic and critical thinking skills commensurate to executive level decision-making.
The COO must have a proven track record demonstrating operational success and results in this role. The COO must have proven success in medical group management at the senior level.
It is required that the COO possess a minimum of 10+ years healthcare operations leadership with a proven track record of successfully developing and managing medical clinics.
Exceptional organizational and management skills and experience required in maximizing the effectiveness of the various GMG management teams.
Prior experience and/or knowledge with healthcare business development and marketing preferred to meet the challenges of planned future growth.
Also fundamental to this position is a strong financial background with a working knowledge of finance, budgeting, metrics/dashboards, revenue cycle, controlling costs and process improvement.
The ideal candidate for COO is required to have previous experience and success in leading multiple work sites and/or departments in a healthcare environment.
Further required for this position is the capacity to communicate effectively, both written and verbal with all levels of staff and providers, as open communication is necessary to team-building and team effectiveness.
The candidate should be prepared to work in a fast-paced changing environment. The COO shall have working experience with managed care and capitated plans in the group practice environment.
