Eagleville Hospital is seeking a FT Patient Safety Officer.
The Patient Safety Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization’s Patient Safety Program. The PSO builds and maintains strong relationships with leadership, hospital personnel, and external agencies to effectively facilitate the Patient Safety Program. Partners with hospital leadership to promote a Just Culture environment and assists the Director of Quality Management in clinical, administrative, and strategic oversight of hospital processes for the provision of care, treatment, and services. The PSO ensures effective safety measures are developed, implemented, and maintained to maximize efforts to mitigate patient, visitor, staff and organizational risk. Supports implementation of best practices through data metrics, observation/rounding, employee education, and engagement. In Conjunction with the Director of Operational Support, the PSO assesses and manages workplace health hazard risks by conducting routine environment of care rounds and patient tracers. Develops and implements the educational component of the Patient Safety Program throughout the hospital.
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with a major in business, health administration, nursing, or other related field. Received, or currently undergoing, a higher degree in a healthcare discipline. Master’s degree preferred. CPPS and LEAN certification preferred.
A minimum of 5 years healthcare management experience preferably in a behavioral health setting
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
