Pendulum, a healthcare risk management firm, is seeking a Director of Claims Management Services for its growing Claims Department. This position is based in the Albuquerque, New Mexico office.
Responsibilities include supervising and overseeing the operations of the Claims Department to provide technical, claim management, and financial support for aging services professional and general liability claims. The Director works collaboratively with the Senior Technical Director, Claims to accomplish the following: troubleshooting the company’s electronic claim management system, working with developers and programmers to resolve technical issues, developing and maintaining department processes and protocols, monitoring staff workloads, managing clients’ bank accounts, executing financial reporting, and assisting the Senior Vice President of Claims and Risk Services.
Applicant must have strong supervisory skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must, as is an ability to learn new computer programs quickly. Outstanding presentation skills are also necessary. Competency in program management is essential. Proficiency with the MS Office Suite is required. Knowledge of Tableau and SQL/Java scripting is preferred.
The successful candidate will have claims experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience to include two years claims supervisory experience resulting in a thorough knowledge of claims management processes and procedures.
Some travel may be required.
