Legacy Health has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager of Risk Management. The position manages the clinical risk management program for the organization. The Manager works with other Legacy leaders to ensure alignment of the clinical risk management program with the Legacy’s mission, vision and values and contributes to the functioning of the self-insurance program. As part of the Quality & Patient Safety division, this role will collaborate within the team to advance patient safety and quality initiatives. This position will provide direction to the Clinical Risk Management & Patient Relations teams.
Ideal candidates will possess:
Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare field. Advanced degree strongly preferred.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in healthcare risk management or related field to include 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
RN or other clinical license is strongly preferred. CPHRM preferred.
Provides direction for the following teams:
Clinical risk management
Bachelor’s degree in Business or healthcare field required. Advanced degree (e.g. Master’s in health care, business, or a related field, or Juris Doctor) strongly preferred.
A minimum of seven years diverse and progressively responsible experience in healthcare risk management or a related field required, including three to five years’ supervisory experience. Experience within multi-hospital system or integrated healthcare delivery system preferred. Experience with using everyday technology tools (e.g. email, spreadsheets, word processing, voicemail, internet/intranet) to access, organize, and store job-related information.
RN or other clinical license strongly preferred. Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred.
Possesses critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
