Summary The Program Manager is responsible for the facility’s patient safety activities; which include administering the patient safety program on a day-to-day basis, managing and analyzing patient safety data, conducting patient safety educational programs, complying with The Joint Commission’s, Pennsylvania and New York Departments of Health’s and other regulatory agencies’ patient safety-related standards and managing claims against the facility and interfacing with defense counsel, all with the objectives of promoting patient safety activities and awareness and controlling and minimizing loss to protect the assets of the facility. This individual participates in formulating policy and organizational changes.
Experience Three (3) years of patient care experience in a health care setting. One year (1) risk management, quality, or patient safety related experience in a health care environment
Education Baccalaureate degree in a health care related field. Master’s degree preferred RN with acute care experience preferred
Licenses/Certifications CPHRM or CPPS required within 2 years from date of hire Nursing Executive certification recommended
