Norwegian American Hospital is currently seeking a dynamic professional in the area of Risk Management. This highly visible role offers the opportunity to work hand in hand with both senior management and in-house council. The Risk Manager manages all aspects of clinical risk management including identifying, analyzing and managing potentially compensable events, managing and analyzing risk management data, conducting risk management assessments and developing programs and creating educational materials designed to improve quality and decrease exposures. Further responsibilities include the implementation of policies, procedures and practices designed to reduce potential risk and improve patient safety. Additionally the Risk Manager manages the incident reporting system and ensures proper utilization, monitors activity to assess the effectiveness of programs and maintains current information for regulatory and legal requirements.
Current IL RN license
Minimum of 2 years Risk Management experience in a hospital setting required.
Bachelors degree required, Masters or JD preferred.
