Directs the operational, financial management and personnel resources for Quality Performance, Accreditation / Licensing, Patient Relations, Infection Prevention, Policy and Procedure Process Management, Patient Safety and Risk Management, utilizing an Enterprise/Systems approach. Disseminates information for the enterprise-wide quality program. Coordinates various certification, patient safety and regulatory programs, via delegation and oversight. The Director of Quality Management reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer with a dotted line reporting structure to the CEO (or equivalent) and to The Board of Directors. Participates directly in Leadership and Board meetings, representing the enterprise-wide Quality/Risk Management Department and its associated functions. This position participates in state and national networks, professional organizations, and conferences in the service of promoting healthcare quality within the organization and for the community, on an ongoing basis.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5 or more years Quality/Risk Management experience in an acute care hospital-based system at least 3 of which are in a leadership capacity (Director or above), CPHQ required (or be able to obtain within 18 months of hire). Preferred: Master’s degree and current RN licensure.
