This position has broad responsibility for the protection of the institution and its staff from fortuitous loss. The CRSO advises and consults with senior leadership and the Board on potential sources of loss and makes decision on how to eliminate or minimize loss. This position also oversees system-wide readiness to meet all regulatory standards, including but not limited to the Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation standards, and the safety/workman’s compensation program for the system.
Master’s degree in related field (risk, regulatory, safety, legal) and Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field or business required. Five years experience in a healthcare administrative position with comparable management experience required. Experience in accreditation of TJC, state and federal regulations and standards related to patient care required. Direct experience with quality management and standards compliance required. Professional designations, such as a fellowship or certifications in healthcare risk management or quality improvement preferred
