Our client, a major New England based Health Care System, is seeking a Director of Performance Improvement & Quality
Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Director will plan, develop, coordinate and interpret Joint Commission and other regulatory standards and guidelines to ensure compliance with performance and quality improvement requirements. The Director functions as the Hospital liaison to facilitate effective planning, consistent with regulations and hospital philosophy. Coordinates and manages performance improvement and quality initiatives supporting operational goals. The Director shall provide consultative services to the organization in the area of Performance Improvement & Quality and provides hospital wide consultation, education and guidance in the implementation and the development of indicators.
The successful candidate will be an experienced healthcare leader with the ability to engage with others and lead quality, compliance and education. This individual will possess “boardroom to bedside” skills and ability, with the willingness to engage at all levels of the Health Care System. •A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Health or Nursing is required; Master’s degree preferred. Legal experience (7 years min.) or quality management and/or risk management experience (7 years min.) required. Healthcare compliance experience strongly preferred. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality helpful. •Seven to ten years of directly related Hospital experience in quality management, auditing, management and regulatory compliance, required. •Two to three years of experience directly involving monitoring quality indicators and/or performance improvement also required. •Must have a working knowledge of regulatory agency standards and requirements.
