The Director of Strategic Initiatives assists Population Health Advisors as the lead consultant to help external organizations with Population Health Initiatives with their Accountable Care Organization (ACO) or Clinically Integrated Network (CIN). This individual team will work with external health system leadership teams in developing, advising, monitoring and leading strategic Population Health Programs critical to organizational sustainability and growth. The Director of Strategic Initiatives collaborates closely with the Baylor Scott and White Quality Alliance leadership to extend the strategic and operational guidance, processes, protocols, tools, and lessons learned with our external facing clients to achieve their Population Health goals.
Our Director of Strategic Initiatives casts vision, creates comprehensive plans, builds teams, manages simultaneous tasks, leads assigned personnel, monitors progress, communicates with stakeholders, provides updates to leadership, and assigns resources for the successful execution of Population Health strategies. This position will be highly visible throughout the organization and will direct programs of considerable value and importance to Baylor Scott & White Health.
The ideal Director of Strategic Initiatives will be a creative thinker with well-rounded experience in Population Health to include working knowledge and successful operations of an ACO or CIN, payer and ACO relationships, or consulting experience in Population Health. Knowledge in the following areas is also important: process improvement, PCMH, clinic operations and workflow, compensation plans, continuum of care, ACO, leader development, teambuilding, coaching, communication, successful client relations and driving staff engagement. Significant leadership and program/project management experience is required.
